Eh, not too chipper...
Can't believe that August is drawing to a close already. Soon it'll be time for fall (and for my normal clothes, yay!).

I need to keep updatin' this and saying what's in my mind. Not too healthy to keep it all up in there, no? And murf. I want to get back into True Blood! But alas, I'm always working nights it seems lately. I don't like that. I can do more in the evening than I can during the day. Plus, I can have dinner with Kuro or go out with a friend. But I know it's one of the downsides of retail, so I gotta live with it.

All of this negativity in the news 'n at lately is really bothering me. This is why I like to stay away from politics and keep myself oblivious; I don't like knowing how truly inept some of our politians are (especially Palin. OMG go away already).

Kuro and I had watched an episode of Bullshit from Penn and Teller about a few nights ago. The FCC is truly disturbing. It's a direct threat against the 1st Amendment, but we didn't even get a choice in it. It was installed by the government without so much as an "okay" from the public. I'm tired of all of this censoring.

If we wanna say fuck, then we should be allowed! It's kind of basic knowledge what situations NOT to use it in (customer service, talking to other people's kids, etc), and the fact that people feel that we need to be censored in the first place is just crazy. If the radio DJ is saying dirty words, then change the fuckin' station! Don't silence him just 'cause he isn't using clean words and you're afraid your kid's gonna go to hell for hearing it. That kid's gonna hear worse in school from either being bullied, witnessing the bullying, or heck, doing the bullying themselves.

I love how parents really honestly believe that children learn the majority of swear words and dirty messages from the TV 'n at. A bit, perhaps, but most of it? Their peers.

In other news; I only have two student loans to go! And they're the big ones. *boo*

Penn & Teller are amusing, in a raunchy sort of way. I think [info]zen_of_nihilism watches them on a pretty regular basis.

Hehehe, they're hilarious. What's your icon by the way? I don't recognize it...
