Another brick in the wall, another canvas for graffiti
I want my next journal theme to be artsy- full of graffiti 'n at. Full of color and vibrant stuff and random messages, like homemade mac 'n cheese is so much better with BBQ. Or something to that effect.

I can't wait until I'm finally done with my student loans. A bitch they be.

I also can't wait for a world without bad stories (especially in the YA section. I tried three books with some pretty artwork, THREE, and all of them made me gag on the first paragraph alone). Like, I LOVE the Uglies universe created by Scott Westerfield. It defintely has a bit of the Mary Sue thing going on, but I kind of like her in the whole "I'm gonna take care of myself" way. The universe is pretty spiffy, albeit completely unrealistic. But that's what's so awesome about fantasy; you get to create something that isn't normal. And make it pretty swell too. It's a great read despite the faults. Same with Spiderwick Chronicles.

The story I'm referring to... gawd. I've already forgotten the title thankfully. The artwork is very DeviantArt anime-esque, so it caught my eye, but HOOOLY carp. Tell me if you haven't heard this before:

Three girls who are in completely different social standings in high school randomly meet and have to support each other as they're thrown into a magical world rife with talking animals and magical-named spots of interest, like Wolf's Run Cliff and Swan Lake and Sparkly Deer Forest (okay the last one is made up, but not the other two. The names are so grotesquely cuddly it made me want to drop the book fifteen feet... into fire).

It's soooo original, amirite?!

This makes me more determined to write. But I have no clue where to start with my novel. I has characters and settings and a decent plot, much altered and immense than when I thought of it years ago.

Just... need... to write... curse you... imagination...

*daydreams*

Wait, so you're reading Magic Knights Rayearth in written-book format? :: boggles ::
